Lorenz (Lawrence) Mba MBA,FNIMN,RPA,KSJ
Sir Lawrence (Lorenz) Mba is a well-traveled C-suite professional, highly regarded for his relationship management experience in Canada, Nigeria and emerging economies.
Often called a ‘bridge builder’ due to his astute negotiating acumen, Lawrence Mba is driven by a yearning to contribute to the African renaissance and looks to draw on his multi-disciplinary global and local network in this pursuit.
Lawrence, a dual citizen of Nigeria and Canada, got his undergraduate degree from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, and spent the mandatory one-year national service teaching at Kaduna Polytechnic.
His post-NYSC work career began with the then Lever Brothers Nigeria Limited (now Unilever PLC) and progressed to Brian Munro Limited and later as Head of Marketing and Business Development for Colgate Palmolive Nigeria before relocating to Canada with his family.
Lawrence has over 30 years’ post-graduation work experience and a General Management MBA from one of Europe’s Ivy League Business Schools. A hands-on leader, an engaging speaker, and class president of an advanced management program at the LBS, he has C-suite experience in consumer packaged goods (FMCGs), banking, insurance, integrated marketing communications, consulting, and e-commerce.
A firm believer in giving back to humanity and to his community, Sir Lawrence Mba is an avid volunteer and mentor and regularly gives his time to not-for-profit and welfarist programs such as the Cherie Blair Foundation for Entrepreneurial Women, the Lagos Business School Alumni Association Governing Council, the Benola Cerebral Palsy Advisory Board, the Global Citizen Initiative, and the Association of Black Law Enforcers (ABLE), among others.
